The SNAKESPERIENCE is a one-of-a-kind reptile experience for children aged 6–12 — starring some of the world’s most incredible snakes. From the shimmering Brazilian rainbow boa to the mighty reticulated python, your child and a couple of their friends will meet, handle, and learn about a stunning collection of snakes in a safe, supervised, and unforgettable way.

We know how overwhelming children’s parties can feel - expensive venues, loud music, sugar-fuelled chaos...it’s a lot.

The SNAKESPERIENCE is the opposite. We’ll bring a selection of snakes to your home, and your child can get up-close-and-personal with them from the comfort of your living room.

A SELECTION OF SNAKES FOR YOUR GUESTS TO MEET AND HANDLE

We’'ll bring a selection of snakes to your home for your guests to meet, including a range of different-sized snakes from multiple countries across the world. We’ll cover everything from a cute royal python…all the way up to our gentle giants (such as our boa constrictors and 12-ft reticulated python).

A FUN, HANDS-ON SESSION, LEARNING ALL ABOUT THESE AMAZING CREATURES

We’ll talk about the difference between venomous snakes and constrictors, how to handle a snake correctly, all about feeding and keeping a snake as a pet, and much more. We’ll answer any burning questions (including ‘where does it poo from?’), and make sure the session is as educational as it is memorable.

THE ULTIMATE PHOTO OPS TO CAPTURE SPECIAL MEMORIES

Throughout the session, we’ll take plenty of photos of your child and their guests with the animals - capturing special moments that you’ll never want to forget. We’ll edit them, and email them to you a few days after the session for you to keep forever. (You’re also welcome to take as many pics as you like, too!).

Our Scaly Crew includes some of the most beautiful snakes in the world - from our shimmering Brazilian Rainbow Boa to our powerful Reticulated Python. Each one is a stunning example of that species, and has the temperament to go with it. This is our All-Ssstar line-up we’ll be choosing from to attend your SNAKESPERIENCE…

APOLLO is our cheeky Brazilian Rainbow Boa. He is super inquisitive, and loves to explore!

PRETZEL is our sweet Royal Python. He has the cutest little face!

THUNDER is our chunky Blood Python. He’s like a squishmallow in snake form!

HADES is our stunning Guyana Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor (and he’s super-soft!).

SAFFY is our impressive 12ft Reticulated Python; the longest species of snake in the world.

VENUS is our beautiful albino Boa Constrictor. She’s so graceful, and such a sweetie.

LIGHTNING is our striking Taiwanese Beauty Snake. He’s fast, but friendly.

STRETCH is our male Common Boa Constrictor. He’s truly a gentle giant.

WOTSIT is our vibrant Corn Snake, and loves making new friends!

  • No! We can adapt our SNAKESPERIENCE session for any occasion, and for any age.

  • The session itself lasts around an hour, with 15 minutes before and after required for setting up/packing away.

  • We’ve designed this experience to be intimate, and with a relaxed feel. We recommend no more than 4 guests in total. If you want to discuss other options, send us an email to hey@scalysafari.co and we’ll see what we can do!

  • We will bring around 6-7 snakes to your SNAKESPERIENCE, and we’ll ensure there is a wide variety (so no two snakes are the same).

    The selection we bring largely depends on shedding, feeding schedules, and the space we have available.

  • It’s entirely up to you. We created our SNAKESPERIENCE for smaller gatherings, so hiring a venue isn’t necessary. If you’d prefer to book a venue, that’s fine too.

  • Weather-permitting…absolutely! If you have the space in your garden, we can make it happen. Please note that snakes are temperature-sensitive, so if we feel it’s a bit too chilly (or hot) on the day, we may have to move the session indoors.

    Please note: clear access to hot running water and soap is essential.

  • Absolutely! If it’s in the cooler months, though, the party will need to be held indoors (the snakes are temperature-sensitive, and need to be kept warm).

  • Our SNAKESPERIENCE can be adapted to suit any age, but we created it with 6-12 year olds in mind.

  • As we always say: every animal can bite if it wants to. Our snakes are our own personal pets, and are extremely well-handled. It is highly unlikely that they will bite, especially as all handling will take place under our direct supervision. We can’t, however, guarantee 100% that they won’t bite.

    None of our snakes are venomous.

  • Pretty much anywhere! We’re based in North Wales, but regularly cover the whole of the North West as well. There may be a surcharge for fuel costs for travelling further afield.
